Everyone has a story to tell
Digital, tactile stories
I work with artists experienced in oral history and creating artwork inspired by participants’ stories. Between 2016 – 18, I was the Project Co-ordinator and artistic lead on a Heritage Lottery-funded oral history project ‘A Thousand Voices – The history and story of Community House’. Part of this role involved collaborating with artists Cath Cains, Andrea Carney; sharing digital skills with artists and volunteers, plus working with writers Rufus Mufasa and Valerie Bloom in 3 local primary schools to uncover pupils’ family heritage stories. To bring the stories to life, my team connected short audio files to photographs, children’s artwork and artefacts.
We co-produced a digital story app with a design agency (OverandOver).
I can work with you to preserve and exhibit stories of your organisation or historic building through tactile, digital crafts.
