Arting/Celfio Courses

I offer courses that support individuals living with health conditions, dementia, and chronic pain to enjoy a better quality of life. Join me soon! I’ll be sharing different processes to support, restore and nurture. Arting/Celfio courses focus on the individual, the art processes, and the social interactions.
Previous art experience is not a requirement.

To join a course free of charge, you can be referred by a Health Service provider or your GP. Once referred, you’ll be asked to complete a short Questionnaire to ensure that you are ready to take part and benefit from the creative sessions. You will receive a carefully selected information pack in the post containing all the materials you will need – some materials you may already have in your home.
Every week, you will be guided gently into a range of different techniques from which you are encouraged to develop your own creative voice, at your own pace.

Courses:
(Require a minimum of 4 participants to run)Join me for 6 weeks – 1 hour each week (via Zoom)

• Workshop #1: ‘Tell me a story’ - Do you have a family heirloom, precious photograph, or an item of clothing that has a unique story attached to it?

My workshops guide you through creative processes which will enable you to create images to tell your story through the tactile qualities of the object, evoking memories and providing reassurance during uncertain times.

• Workshop #2: Tell your story through printmaking with household materials to make ‘story boxes’ connected to life stories.

• Workshop #3: Journey book – a sensory, imaginative journey to your favourite destinations
  This is a 10-week course. We will make a simple concertina book using a variety of folding and stitching methods plus unique ways to fill it - with unique and fun drawing strategies, we’ll be using image transfer, wordplay, and painted collage to reflect places in the world that carry meaningful memories to you.
